Topic: An Overview of Oxide Ceramic Matrix Composites
SPEAKER: Barrett Jackson
Mr. Jackson has over 30 years of experience with advanced ceramic materials. The past 15 years has been devoted to oxide ceramic matric composites (CMC). He has worked on programs that matured from R&D test laminates to production components, developing materials and processes to meet the challenges of fabricating intricate CMC parts. He was part of the team that fabricated the largest CMC parts to be flight tested – the Boeing nozzle and center-body for the CLEEN program.
Currently Mr. Jackson is part of the production team for the GE Passport engine CMC exhaust components at Composites Horizons. Additionally he continues to work on developing new oxide CMC materials and processes to meet future challenges.
