Tools for Composite Characterization: Thermal Analysis & Rheology

Barbara obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology in 2010.  She then studied under Dr. Sunggyu Lee in the Sustainable Energy and Advanced Materials Lab of Ohio University, where she was involved in the development, processing, and analysis of bio-based and biodegradable polymer blends and composites.  During this time she was awarded an NSF fellowship to participate in the East Asia and Pacific Summer Institute Program, where she worked alongside researchers at Seoul National University in Seoul, Korea.  Barbara began working at TA Instruments in January of 2015 as a thermal applications engineer and has since taken on a rheology applications role, as well.
